Berthille

The brand Berthille is the continuation of a story started in a workshop 40 years ago. A specialist in leather-style work in high leather goods, it perpetuates craftsmanship. Each piece, from the Berthilleworkshop, is entirely thought out, designed and produced by expert hands. Through the Maison Berthille, you will find the quality of a carefully designed product as well as a unique piece numbered with each production output, thus marking the attachment to values.

Maison Berthille produces high-end bags handcrafted in its French workshops. Founded in 1971, each piece is made from fine leather and assembled with the expertise of a French leather goods house boasting over 50 years of experience. Production is entirely French, each piece bears a unique number, and the company has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label since 2016.

Maison Berthille: Historic French Craftsmanship

Founded in 1971 in Mazamet, in the Tarn region of France, Berthille is recognized as a benchmark in fine handcrafted leather goods. The company was acquired in 2007 by Christophe Labrousse Brandy and Yann Florin, initiating a new phase of development. The company employs 23 people and produces approximately 32,000 pieces per year, including bags, belts, pouches, and accessories, all entirely made in France.

Awarded the Living Heritage Company (EPV) label in 2016, this distinction, bestowed by the French government, certifies the excellence of its artisanal expertise in the arts and crafts. Each bag comes with a certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number, guaranteeing its traceability and exclusivity.

Berthille Bags: Leather and French Manufacturing

The pigskin suede lining and accessories are rigorously chosen to combine robustness and aesthetics. This French leather manufacturing ensures mastery of leather craftsmanship throughout the entire process.

The creation process follows a demanding protocol:

Selection of fine leathers and raw materials

Hand-cutting and trimming according to strict quality standards
