How to take care of your handbag: clean it, keep it in our closets, etc.

Some tips and answers to the questions you're asking yourself.

At the end of the season, brush your bag and store it carefully in a well-ventilated area to prevent mould or rust from forming. Don't forget to stuff it to prevent it from taking wrinkles.
Avoid placing your bag in the heat or under very intense direct light.

Canvas bag:

If your canvas or synthetic bag has a small task, you can try cleaning it with a damp fabric and neutral detergent (nothing beats Marseille soap!).

Leather bag:

If it's made of leather, use moisturizer (baby milk, or a pot bottom you no longer use) to do the trick. First try an invisible part of the bag.
If your bag is wet, wipe it with a clean cloth and let it dry in the open air. Don't let it dry against any likely to rub off on it.

Be careful, never put your bag on a radiator!

Some fabric and especially leather bags (especially the leather crust) may rub off on lighter-coloured clothing in case of repeated friction. This is especially true for cross-worn bags.
Beware, conversely, a garment that has its dye badly fixed can rub off on a clear bag! Be vigilant!
If your bag contains magnetic clasps, be careful not to approach it with any other products containing a magnetic system, especially for a long time.
Do not rub your bag against hard or pungent objects to avoid scratches.
Finally, don't wash your bag in a machine or overload it!
