Ateliers Fourès

In Les Ateliers Fourès, it is the leather that commands, that dictates its law. Flexibility and naturalness remain the golden rule in the choice of skins, their flagship line "Baroudeur", both sporty and chic and it is no exception to the rule. The "hand" of the leather used (touch) is exceptional, they are sensual, masculine and practical items, manufactured 100% French and 100% tarnish!

Since 1969, Ateliers Fourès has been manufacturing all its leather goods in the Tarn, a region known worldwide for its expertise in leather. Each bag, accessory and wallet leaves the workshop of Graulhet after more than fifty years of transmission of a know-how of excellence in the hands of the same craftsmen. This 100% French manufacturing is not a marketing argument, but the founding commitment of the brand.

Ateliers Fourès: more than 50 years of expertise in French leather goods

Founded by Rosine and Jean-Louis Fourès, the company has resisted the waves of relocation by refusing to leave France. Since 2016, new generations have joined the team while preserving artisanal methods. Obtaining the label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) in 2016 certifies the transmission of this exceptional know-how. More than fifty expert craftsmen work in the workshop at every stage: cutting, trimming, embossing, assembling, edging, stitching. No phase is subcontracted or produced abroad.

Full-grain leather and handcrafted

The choice of material is essential. Ateliers Fourès uses only full grain cowhide leather, the most noble part, solid and resistant over time. This leather comes from farms intended for food, no animal being raised only for its skin. The tanning is entirely carried out in France, giving an exceptional touch, a natural flexibility and a patina that improves with use.

The 100% cotton beige twill lining meets this same quality requirement. The closures are YKK Excella metal zips, guaranteed for 5000 cycles, the pressure straps are Prym and the straps are professional quality. Every detail, from the double handles to the glued-on finishes in small leather goods, bears witness to this artisanal care.
